A day at Agua de Vid

As you all might know; or if you don’t, Valle de Guadalupe is known to be the Mexican wine country - has more then 150 wineries, and produces more than 80% of the national wine. Its ideal mediterranean weather makes it a perfect destination to visit. Nowadays, it is positioned as a discovered gem - a gastronomic viticultural paradise, with a wide variety of renowned chefs; and boutique hotels, from glamping to high-end.

Amongst them all, we visited Agua de Vid (by we, I mean my mom and my sister). We stayed at this rural complex - a 24 room a boutique hotel where we enjoyed from their contemporary Baja Californian style restaurant Pancracia, and Terra de Vid Eco Spa services.

We arrived just in time for a spectacular sunset. We checked in, and wonder around discovering the facilites. Later on, we settled in at “Collage” - our suite, unpacked, peeked around the room, and soon went to Pancracia to enjoy a one or two bottles of wine, charcuterie, cheese plate and a good Continental game - a cards game my family and I constantly play. After a few glasses and wins later, we went to our room and chatted quite a lot (FYI, it was our first staycation for us girls), so the sleepover was a whole lotta fun. We slid our PJ’s on, applied face masks and soon went to sleep. The next morning, a very bright and early morning, we got ready to get pampered! We went to the Eco Spa and had the Ritual Nayta’ - a rejuvenating service that included temazcal, saltwater tubs, thermal water tubs, and a relaxing massage. A no-better-way to start the day! We showered and got embellished to take some shots around the complex. My sister took amazing pictures - see below. Afterwards, we had our well deserved late brunch! All got strong americanos, fresh green juice, and scrambled eggs on a thick fluffy bread loaf. Our staycation had ended, but I know it was one to remember.
